The sheep's roving is carefully is prepared at www.morrofleeceworks.com by our friend Shari, or www.argylefibermill.com by our group of local friends at their mill! No harsh chemicals are used during the carding or washing procedure- most of our fiber is washed right here at the farm. The sheep do all the dye work (wink wink) and work hard to provide pretty, unusual colorways that are great for needle felting, spinning or blending! (The sheep also offer roving in natural colors and don't forget to check out their Crazy Quilt batts!)
The sheep do not use harsh chemicals when processing their fiber so if you find a stray bit of vegetable matter/debris, an oat or a little hay, please consider it a little 'character' from some happy sheep who occasionally delight in ignoring our 'rules' about keeping clean. They work very hard to sort and send out the best of their fiber-and pack extra just in case they DO miss something.
